Solid marble, hand-carved in Agra, India. Interior micro-ridges aerate the lather as the brush works. Marble holds heat roughly three times longer than ceramic - the lather stays warm from the first stroke to the last.

Polished to a high lustre. Natural grain makes every bowl unique. Heavy enough to stay put on the counter while you build.

Who's It For

Anyone using a shaving brush and cream or soap who wants to build better lather and keep it warm through the shave. A bowl isn't strictly necessary - you can build lather in a mug or in your palm - but the combination of interior ridges and heat retention makes a meaningful difference to the quality of the finished lather.

Key Benefits

  • Interior micro-ridges add turbulence as the brush works, whipping air into the cream faster for a denser lather
  • Marble holds heat approximately three times longer than ceramic - warm lather from start to finish
  • Heavy base stays put on the counter during use Solid marble - naturally cool, easy to rinse, and durable
  • Hand-carved in Agra, India - each bowl is unique due to natural grain variation
  • Pairs with the Supply Silvertip Synthetic Brush, Marble Tray, and Marble Tumbler

How To Use

  • Fill the bowl with hot water and let it sit for a minute to warm the marble
  • Empty the water, add a small amount of shaving cream or load from a soap puck
  • Work a wet brush into the bowl in circular strokes to build lather - the micro-ridges accelerate the process
  • Apply lather directly to the face with the brush
  • Rinse the bowl after use and dry with a soft cloth
  • Warm the bowl before use to get the most from marble's heat-retention properties - cold marble will still build good lather, but warm marble keeps it workable longer.

Why MASC Recommends This

Most shavers who use a brush and cream are building lather directly on their face or in whatever vessel is nearby. A purpose-built bowl with interior ridges and genuine heat-retention changes the lather quality in a way that's immediately noticeable. Supply's Marble Shave Bowl is made with real marble from the same Agra tradition as the rest of the marble line - it's not marble-effect coating. It works, it looks good on the counter, and it outlasts anything made of plastic or ceramic.
